What an important makeup item in our collection, right? No makeup is complete without mascara. But with so many brands and much more mascaras is important to know which one is good for you. If a mascara is expensive it doesn’t necessarily mean it’s also good and vice-versa. So which one to choose? Well, I’m going to try to ease this process for you with me as an example.
First things first: we’re not all gifted with long & curled lashes. What works for me may not necessarily work for you and so on. Being a makeup artist and having a makeup addiction took me on a long road of buying and testing mascaras, so right now I have a perfect idea of what suits me the best.
Most of the people will say: ”Why not using fake lashes?”
Not everybody has time to apply lashes in the morning before heading to work, not everybody likes the feel of fake lashes on their eyes & not everybody is good in applying them. With mascaras, even if you’re in a hurry there’s always time to coat just once the lashes.
For me, a great mascara is the one who instantly gives my lashes length and volume and the consistency of it is more creamy than wet & runny. Another factor that makes me buy a mascara is the brush type. I always love a brush that has fiber bristles rather than one that has plastic bristles.
The fiber bristles work like magic for me and being so closely packed together they can coat every single eyelash giving them volume & curling them. I won’t lie to you, I was gifted with long & thick lashes but that doesn’t mean that all the mascaras work for me.
Buxom team was kind enough to send me their NEW mascara: the Big Tease Plumping Mascara. I was nervous! I’m really picky when it comes to mascaras, so not knowing what I was going to receive made me a bit anxious. Along the mascara, Buxom also sent me some of their popular products: Full-On Lip Polish, PlumpLine Lip Liner, Big & Sexy Bold Gel Lipstick, Full-On Lip Cream & Full-On Lipstick that I’m going to cover in another post.
As you can see in the photo below the wand has a tapered brush which means that is much easier to get into hard to reach places of your lashes. The first thing I’ve noticed was the formula which is creamy rather than very wet like I’ve seen in most mascaras. I’ve told you that if the mascara is more creamy than wet then you’ll get volume. Didn’t have any problems with clumping. It also gave me length and made a great job at curling my lashes. No curler was used in this process.
I love the fact that I can easily coat my inner corner lashes and having that thin part at the end of the brush really helps lengthening the lashes. This mascara gave my lashes everything. Lift, length, volume, curl & thickness.
After wearing it throughout the day it kinda flaked a little bit and I had a little bit of transfer but this is mostly because I have oily lids. They do say that is smudge-proof, clump-free and flake-resistant which is very true.
Here is a before & after so you can have an idea what this mascara can do.[sciba leftsrc=”http://littlebeautybag.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/09/Fara-rimel.jpg” leftlabel=”” rightsrc=”http://littlebeautybag.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/09/Cu-rimel.jpg” rightlabel=”” mode=”horizontal” width=””]
That being said, I love the formula, I love the wand & I don’t find the flaking or the transfer to be an issue. I’m going to continue to use it and I encourage you to give it try. I would really love to hear your opinion about this post so make sure to leave me a comment below!
